RSC Attends Navy Opportunity Forum 2014

Crystal City, VA – This year, Renaissance Sciences Corporation (RSC) was eligible to attend the Navy Transition Assistance Program’s (TAP) Opportunity Forum as a current Navy Phase II SBIR awardee. The Opportunity Forum, held on 2-4 June 2014 in Crystal City, VA, provided a unique venue to explore the business opportunities that have arisen due to the collaborative work of companies and the Federal Agencies that provided funds for their efforts.

As part of the Navy TAP Program, RSC participated in many different activities and utilized resources provided by the program to enhance the production of the SBIR product. At the culmination of Navy TAP, RSC had the opportunity to present a demonstration of its development efforts for the current Navy Phase II SBIR and to brief attendees on the status of our efforts at the Navy Opportunity Forum. Ultimately, participating in this program was a positive experience for RSC in terms of product development and networking opportunities.

RSC Gears Up for IMAGE 2014 in Dayton Ohio

Dayton, OH – Renaissance Sciences Corporation (RSC) is excited for the role that it will play at two events being held in the Dayton, Ohio area in July. This marks the first year that the IMAGE Conference will be held at the University of Dayton on 8-9 July 2014 followed by an Open House demonstration of simulation technologies at Barco’s facility in Xenia, Ohio. RSC is proud to be presenting a paper at the Conference and demonstrating our SimHDR-EO NVG stimulation software at Barco’s Training and Simulation Open House the day after the IMAGE Conference on 10 July 2014.

RSC representatives have been working diligently to author a paper with the support of Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (<em>NAWCTSD</em>) and in partnership with Arizona State University for presentation during the IMAGE Conference. The paper, entitled “Method for Incorporating Displacement Mapping into Existing Image Generators”, details the collaborative work that RSC and Arizona State have done to create an innovative rendering approach that leverages GPU technologies to visualize realistic numbers of 3D features and clutter.

Additionally, RSC will again partner with Barco to demonstrate its SimHDR-EO NVG product integrated into Diamond Visionics’ (DVC) GenesisIG for a realistic, physics-based, NVG stimulation using Barco projectors. This demonstration was a main attraction at the recent ITEC 2014 International Military, Education and Simulation Tradeshow held in Cologne, Germany. IMAGE attendees are encouraged to take the opportunity to come view our demonstration the day after IMAGE at the Barco Facility located at 600 Bellbrook Avenue, Xenia, OH.

“Diamond Visionics is excited for the opportunity to work with RSC and Barco again to show the world the true strength of each company together,” said David Gdovin, President of Diamond Visionics.  “The combination of these three companies creates a stimulated scene that looks so amazingly realistic that has to be seen to be believed.”

“Barco is pleased to partner with RSC on Barco’s open house event to demonstrate cutting edge NVG simulation demonstrations with Barco’s latest state of the art projector technology and RSC’s SimHDR-EO NVG product,” added Peter De Meerleer, Director of Strategic Marketing at Barco.
