RSC’s SimHDR-EO Showcased at ITEC 2014

Cologne, Germany – Renaissance Sciences Corporation (RSC) and Barco combined expertise and technology at this year’s ITEC conference, the annual international hot spot for military training, education and simulation sectors. Attendees of the conference, held May 20-22, 2014 in Cologne, Germany, were invited to view RSC’s versatile software product, SimHDR-EO.

RSC demonstrated its SimHDR-EO NVG product integrated into Diamond Visionics’ (DVC) GenesisIG for a realistic physics-based NVG stimulation using Barco projectors. The demonstration included a high-resolution urban area with accurate lighting effects stimulating NVG goggles on two different Barco projectors. This demonstration allowed participants to compare the quality of SimHDR-EO NVG stimulation on two completely different projection systems to evaluate the benefits of each approach to meet different objectives and budgets. Specific highlights of the demonstration included:

4-color (dedicated IR channel) NVG stimulation on the world’s highest resolution and brightest LED projector for Night Vision Goggle stimulation (Barco FS35 IR Series)Comparative NVG stimulation on the 3 color Barco Sim7Q HC LCoSDisplay of highly detailed and accurate physics-based illumination and atmospheric models in DVC’s GenesisIGRealistic urban lighting effectsAccurate high-dynamic range rendering and environmental effectsResults of RSC’s rapid database generation services

“We were pleased to partner with Barco at ITEC to demonstrate the power of accurate, physically-correct, and affordable database generation & stimulation through our products,” said Bob Kuehne, President of RSC. “A dedicated IR channel on the Sim7 gives great additional flexibility to our SimHDR products that deliver amazing simulation value and capability to our customers and our simulation partners.”
